City of Auburn eliminates dog license requirement

The city of Auburn announced Thursday it would not require dog licenses for 2013 in anticipation of an ordinance that would eliminate the requirement for dog owners.

The Auburn City Council is expected to consider the ordinance that would replace the existing chapter on animals and fowl in the city code in February.
