While she may have lost her eyesight several years ago, Eleanor Harris’ vision of what has led her to a long, productive life remains sharp.

“Make the best of what you have,” said Harris, who celebrated her 101st birthday Thursday surrounded by family, friends and community residents at the Museum of East Alabama.
