Demolition of two historic homes on South Gay Street is set to begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday to make room for a parking lot adjacent to the coming CVS Pharmacy and shopping center on South College Street.

Known for their unique facades, one is colonial-revival style with a fieldstone-platted front and the other is a Victorian-style home. Both homes have rich histories in the city of Auburn.
