Martin Luther King Jr. program in Opelika to also honor US military

More than 100 area youths will honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., one of the most influential leaders of the civil rights era, during the 2013 MLK Jr. Observance Day Program at the Opelika Center for the Performing Arts on Monday.

Now in its 14th year, the MLK Observance Day Program is sponsored by the Dream Day Foundation in partnership with Harris Funeral Home of Opelika and McDonald’s of Auburn, Opelika and Tuskegee.
