The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art will be open for its regular free night hours of 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, however, the reception honoring Paul Hemphill and the publication of “A Tiger Walk Through History” has been postponed.
A new date for the reception will be announced later this fall.
In the meantime, copies of the book are available at the Auburn University Bookstore.
Docents will be on hand Thursday at the museum to conduct tours of the recently opened “Visions of Victory Presented by Mutual of Omaha: A Century of Sports Photography.“ The presentation is augmented by a select group of Auburn-related sports photography, showcasing examples by some of the area’s top photographers.
Fine Wine and Beer by Gus will provide a free wine tasting, and light snacks will be offered by Ursula Higgins.
