* Jacqueline Elaine Hughley, 42, of Opelika was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument and theft of property at 1 p.m., July 30.

* Theft of property was reported Wednesday at a residence in the 800 block of Crawford Road after someone took a central heating and air conditioning unit sometime between 8:30 a.m., July 22 and 9 a.m., July 24.

* Burglary and theft of property was reported Wednesday at residence in the 1700 block of Ridge Road after someone took approximately $1,000 in coins sometime between 6:30 p.m., July 29, and 9:30 p.m., July 30.

* Burglary and theft of property were reported Wednesday at residence in the 2000 block of South Long Street after someone took $10 in coins sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., July 30.

* Unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle and theft of property were reported Thursday at a residence in the 500 block of North Antioch Circle after someone took an orange leather shoulder bag, a checkbook, prescription medicine, three pairs of earrings and a rainbow-color bead necklace sometime between 11:30 p.m., July 30 and 1:35 a.m., July 31.
