Suspect in drive-by shooting identified

One of the suspects involved in a drive-by shooting that took place early Thursday morning in Smiths Station has been identified as Edward Vincent Chambers, 28, of Phenix City.
Edwards was arrested on a charge of attempting to elude by the Columbus Police Department and is currently being held in the Muscogee County Jail.
The shooting is still under investigation. The home where the shooting occurred is in Lee County.
