AU BASEBALL: Tigers host Appalachian State today

The Auburn baseball team will play the final two games of its season-long eight-game home stand this week, playing host to Appalachian State (7-6) today and Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Auburn, which is undefeated on the home stand, is 10-4 heading into the final two games of its pre-conference schedule. Scheduled to start for Auburn today is junior Luke Greinke (1-1), while freshman Cory Luckie (2-1) gets the starting nod Wednesday.

Today’s game is Two Dollar Tuesday and all tickets are just $2, while on Wednesday, all youth 17-and-under get in free with a cap and glove.

Auburn begins SEC play Friday at Florida.

Tigers help raise awareness for breast cancer
The Tigers and the American Cancer Society have teamed up to raise awareness of and money for the fight against breast cancer and you can help.

With a minimum $10 donation to the American Cancer Society, Auburn will send you a copy of the team photo that was taken on January 29 in support of teammate Joseph Sanders and his mother, Barbara, in her fight against the disease.

Along with the 8x10 team photograph, those who donate will also receive a certificate that reads, “On January 29, 2008, the Auburn baseball team shaved their heads and took this photograph to show their support of Joseph Sanders and his family as a member of his family battles breast cancer. Thank you for your support in the fight against breast cancer.”

Those who donate $50 or more will have the option of an 8x10 or 16x20 photo.
