VALLEY — The Auburn High softball team took a 15-4 win over Valley on Wednesday.

Kaitlin Weaver got the win at pitcher, going four innings and striking out four while allowing only three hits.

LSA softball sweeps Macon-East in Region tilt
Lee-Scott’s softball team (11-1, 2-0 in Region play) took a two-game sweep of Region rival Macon-East on Wednesday.

In the first game, the Warriors took a 4-0 win.

Summer Powell got the win in the circle with eight strikeouts, and was also 1-for-3 from the plate with a home run and three RBI.

In the second game, the Warriors took a 10-5 win with Jessica Washington taking the win at pitcher.

Beauregard sweeps past Valley
BEAUREGARD — Beauregard’s baseball team took a doubleheader sweep over Valley on Wednesday.

Caleb Cofield got the win on the mound and Kyle Brown got wins at pitcher, and Hayden Hillyer had a monster day at the plate, combining to go 5-for-6 with two home runs, a double and 10 RBI in the two games.

The Hornets (8-5) took a 5-1 win in the first game and a 15-7 win in the second game.

LSA falls at home to Macon-East
Lee-Scott took its first Region loss of the season on Tuesday, falling to Macon-East, 7-2.

Colton Wamick went 2-for-3 to lead the LSA offense.

OHS JV blanks AHS JV on Wednesday
Opelika’s JV baseball team took a 10-0 win over Auburn High at home on Wednesday.

Greg Adcock was the winning pitcher, and Kyle Bugg went 3-for-4 from the plate for the Bulldogs.

Tyler Pigg, Brandon Canady, and Adcock also had hits for Opelika.

AHS JV softball tops Valley in extra innings
VALLEY — Kathlene Gorman got the win at pitcher after going all nine innings of the Auburn High JV softball team’s 8-7 win over Valley on Wednesday.

Devan Nabors drove in the winning run in the ninth inning.

OHS ninth grade gets past Benjamin Russell
Opelika’s ninth grade baseball team took a 15-3 win over Benjamin Russell.

Clayton Taylor got the win on the mound.
