Regular fuel average $3.94 in Alabama

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) _ Alabama’s gas prices were down overnight, but it was less than a penny. The statewide average for regular unleaded Monday is $3.94 a gallon, according to AAA and the Oil Information Service.

The national average for self-serve regular is $4.06.

The statewide average for mid-grade is $4.22 while premium costs $4.34 a gallon.

According to AAA, Birmingham, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville tied for the highest metro average at $3.96 a gallon. Montgomery had the cheapest fuel at $3.92.
