Auburn resident Smith headed to Hershey games

Auburn resident Justin Thomas Smith will represent the 11-12 age group for the state of Alabama at the 31st annual Hershey’s Track & Field North American Final.
The event, to be held July 31-Aug. 3, will feature competitors ages 9-14 at the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pa.
Smith, 12, will compete in the long jump at the event on Aug. 2.
Smith also competes in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dash in track. He also plays football for Drake Middle School, plays saxophone in the band and has been a member of Boy Scouts for seven years.
He also plays basketball and piano in his spare time.
Smith has maintained all A’s throughout his school career.
His track coaches are Tony and Veronica Jackson of Auburn.
