The Auburn Majors (17-19) All-Stars improved to 2-0 in the Dixie Majors World Series with a win over Mississippi on Sunday.

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — The Auburn Majors (17-19) All-Stars continued their strong start to the World Series on Sunday.
Auburn took a 9-6 win over Laurel-Jones, Miss., improving to 2-0 in the winners bracket.
Michael King pitched six innings, striking out four to get the win. Reid Carter came on in relief for the second consecutive day for the save.
Drew Hull had a single and a three-run homer and Jace Harper also had a two-run home run.
Creede Simpson had a two-RBI double, J.B. Edgar drove in a run and John Gunnels had an RBI and scored twice.
Will Ruffin and Taylor Register each singled.
Auburn will face Florida or Georgia today at noon as they continue through the winners bracket.
Win or lose, they will have to play twice today. With a win they will play again at 8 p.m. A loss would put their second game at 5 p.m.
