Several Dixie All-Star tournaments got started last week.

But the summer-long All-Star tournaments hit full stride today.

Six separate Dixie Youth Sub-District tournaments will kick off today in various locations. Three will be the Dixie Youth AAAs (9-10s), while three others will be Dixie Youth Majors (11-12s).

Only two of the six tournament will be held in the Auburn-Opelika area.

The Dixie Majors Sub-District 2 tournament will be held at Auburn’s Duck Samford Park at 6 p.m. Smiths Station plays LaFayette in Game 1, followed by Dadeville against Auburn.

The other tournament being held locally is in Beulah, where the Dixie Majors Sub-District 3 tournament will take place.

Beauregard takes on Opelika American in Game 1, with Russell County and Valley playing in Game 2. Beulah hosts the tournament and got the first-bracket bye.

The other Majors’ tournament will be held in Tuskegee.

Union Springs, Tuskegee, Tallassee and Auburn Orange will compete in that tournament.

The tournaments in Auburn and Tuskegee have championship games set for July 1, while the tournament in Beulah will hold a championship game on July 2.

All three of the Dixie AAA tournaments will be held away from the Auburn-Opelika area.

LaFayette, Opelika National, Valley and Auburn Orange will compete at Valley at Sub-District 1.

Dadeville, Russell County, Tallassee, Tuskegee, Auburn Blue and Reeltown will compete in Tallassee at Sub-District 3.

And Beulah, Union Springs, Beauregard and Opelika American will compete in Union Springs at Sub-District 2.

Games in all three of the AAA tournaments begin today and are scheduled to conclude with championship games on July 2.
