REV. WAYNE GREATHOUSE Rev. Wayne Greathouse West Point, Ga. - Rev. Wayne Greathouse , age 78, born June 20, 1935 in Lafayette, Al. of West Point, Ga. took his heavenly flight on Sunday, October 6th, 2013 at 11:15pm. Funeral arrangements are planned for Wednesday, October. 9th, 2013 at 2:00pm EST at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, Al. Officiating will be Rev. Jimmy Greathouse and Rev. Henry Dawson. Graveside Services will be held at Resthaven Cemetery on Hwy 50. Rev. Greathouse's ministry includes pastoring at Northside Bapt. Church in West Point, Ga. (24yrs.),- Ironman Bapt. Church in Hartselle, Al.- Calvary Baptist Church in Tallassee, Al. (ministered two terms, a total of 8 yrs.) - Winston Drive Bapt. Church in Memphis, TN - Riverside Heights Bapt. Church in Tallassee, AL - Calvary Bapt. Church in Cottonwood, Al. - and Central Bapt. Church in Lanett, Al. His missions & Revival Ministry include Zimbabwe, Africa - Belize, Central America - Philippines - Thailand - Trinidad, West Indies ( two trips). Revivals include 156 revivals preached, crusades, tent meetings, mission conferences, and bible conferences. Taught two yrs. of Bible College. Rev. Greathouse is survived by adoring wife of fifty-four yrs. Annette Greathouse, his daughter Roxanne (Sherman) Watts of Oxford, Al., -two sons; Jonathan (Karla) Greathouse of Valley, Al. and Micah ( Lynn ) Greathouse of Valley, Al. Also seven grandchildren; Surinie (Chase) Cotton of Anniston, Al. - Joshua Norris of Oxford, Al. - Mackenzie ( Courtney) Greathouse of Lagrange, Ga. - Jeffery Greathouse of Valley, Al. - Brandon Greathouse of Valley, Al. - Erica Greathouse of Valley, Al. - and Taylor Greathouse of Lagrange, Ga. Also one great grandchild Colton Greathouse and many other relatives and friends. Late parents include Walter Greathouse, Lela (MeMe) Jarrell Greathouse Elder, and stepfather Dewey Elder. Late siblings include Gary Elder and Ronald Greathouse. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday October 8th, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00P.M.
