He wasn’t an Auburn fan until high school, didn’t commit to the Tigers until the morning of National Signing Day, but Jonathan Wallace wasted no time being thrust into the Iron Bowl.

The freshman quarterback who took snaps for Central High a year ago will start the most important game of the year Saturday when Auburn travels to No. 2 Alabama for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff on CBS. Wallace said Tuesday he never expected to be in this position when he signed with Auburn last winter.
