It’s clear Auburn senior quarterback Nick Marshall won’t start the season opener Saturday against Arkansas while serving a suspension for an offseason traffic citation for marijuana possession.

On Sunday, Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn confirmed sophomore backup Jeremy Johnson would be the starter during an interview with AL.com.
