AUBURN FOOTBALL: New center Xavier Dampeer already impressing coaches, teammates

Newcomer Xavier Dampeer is already turning heads as Auburn’s backup center behind three-year starter Reese Dismukes.

Dampeer, who was a mid-year transfer from Copiah-Lincoln Community College, impressed Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn during Saturday’s first spring scrimmage while taking reps with both the first- and second-team units.
