Dee Ford slapped Nick Marshall’s head, both out of excitement and to send a message: Be smart, we need you healthy.

“Yeah, I slapped his head for trying to be a tough guy,” Auburn’s senior defensive end said. “But it was all love. … I always pick on him because he’s a frail guy and he was trying to run people over. At the end of the day you’re a quarterback.”
