With just three days remaining until the start of fall preseason camp, Ellis Johnson is counting on senior cornerback Jonathon Mincy being available to start at the boundary when the season kicks off Aug. 30 against SEC West rival Arkansas.
“I don’t know any details on what his situation is, (but) there’s been no decision that I know of on any reduction of playing time,” Johnson said Tuesday afternoon outside of the Tiger Town Marble Slab Creamery, where he was supporting his wife, Caroline, at a Lee County Humane Society adoption drive. “Right now we’re just planning on getting him ready to go.”
