Stuck on the sideline and alone in his thoughts, there were times last season Auburn tailback Corey Grant couldn’t help but ask the question.
Without him, Auburn’s offense stumbled and faltered. Running back wasn’t the problem – not with Tre Mason in the midst of a breakout, 1,000-yard season – but clearly the Tigers lacked a punch. They needed more points, more highlights, and certainly more playmakers.
