Auburn's statement, Jay Jacobs' letter contradicts ESPN report on synthetic marijuana

Auburn issued a statement Thursday addressing an earlier ESPN story alleging 12 players on the 2010 national champion football team tested positive for synthetic marijuana, which was legal at the time.

Though legal, the drug is considered dangerous, with potential side effects including “paranoid delusions, hallucinations, and, in rare cases, deaths,” the ESPN report cited.
