Auburn changed the name of its fifth defensive back in coordinator Ellis Johnson’s 4-2-5 defense from “spur” to “star.” Junior college safety Brandon King hopes the position gives him the chance to shine.

King, a three-star safety from Highland (Kan.) Community College, committed to Auburn last weekend. He said he’ll sign Feb. 6 on National Signing Day.
