Auburn football coach Gus Malzahn continued cutting ties with the Tigers former assistant coaching staff when he released strength and conditioning coach Kevin Yoxall on Thursday, SID Kirk Sampson confirmed.

Yoxall had been on the Tigers' staff since 1999, serving under former head coaches Tommy Tuberville and Gene Chizik. As an offensive coordinator with Auburn from 2009-11, Malzahn worked on the same staff as Yoxall.
