Auburn offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee said the team would like to name a starting quarterback a couple weeks into August, but no decision will be made until the right answer is clear.

It's the closest thing to a timeline that has been released. Lashlee said the coaches have talked about a target date for making the decision. He did not reveal the date, and he said it’s not a hard deadline.
