The Auburn University Department of Music will host its first Summer Choir Day Camp on July 22-25, 2019 in Goodwin Music Hall. There will two choirs—one for middle/jr. high, and one for senior high—available to students in grades 6-12.  Musical activities include techniques for students’ group vocal development, further development of sight reading and ear training skills, expanding the knowledge of concert choral repertoire, performance skills and stage presence, among other things.   Additionally, students will be involved in non-musical activities such as games, sports, campus tour, possible field trips (in-town and/or on campus), etc.

All material for the camp will be provided, including printed music. Also, lunch and snacks will be included, but no housing will be provided. University students will serve as camp counselors to monitor the camp participants and guide them to their activities. The day camp hours are 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., ending with a noon-day concert on Thursday, July 25.

Early registration (before June 14, 2019) is $125. Registration after June 14 is $150 with a final deadline of July 8, 2019.

  • Starting Monday, July 22nd, 2019, repeated every 4 days until Thursday, July 25, 2019 @ 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
