Details for TRUE CODERS - AUBURN CAMPUS
New Auburn Coding Academy seeks candidates for class to fill software talent shortage Could you imagine starting a job in a new field of work that has an average of $50,000 per year as a starting salary? Right now, there are almost 1,500 job openings within 100 miles of Auburn for the 4 programing languages that TrueCoders trains for in their upcoming October 2019 programs. Coding -- computer programming using C# and Java and SQL computer languages -- is a field of high demand in the United States, and Auburn-based TrueCoders is working to train people to fill these high-paying jobs. Right now, there are more positions than there are people. Daniel Walsh, TrueCoders President, notes that because of the lack of skilled workers in the Auburn/Opelika area, recruiters have to entice people from larger metro areas with additional pay to relocate here. TrueCoders will be offering a 10-week and 6-month course meeting five days each week from 8am - 2pm or 3 days a week from 6:30pm8:30pm. Since the program began more than 74% of the students have been placed in jobs in the software development industry. The average TrueCoders graduate starts off making $50,000 per year in their new job, and some are making upwards of $70,000 as well. Walsh said the big problem with most training programs and colleges today is that they stop short of helping you make the transition into the career, and that’s the single biggest reason people seek out professional training. Walsh said that TrueCoders changes that by building out resumes, getting students connected with networking groups, setting up interviews, and much more. By working with each graduate every day until they’ve been placed in a developer position, we give each of our graduates the highest chance of success possible. “We’re teaching you the everyday, practical skills you need to work as developers in a modern-day development shop,” Walsh said.
