We can all admit that there is a little stress associated with preparing the perfect Thanksgiving meal. A well-executed turkey dinner requires prep-time, cook time, and the most dreaded, clean up time.

The Auburn University Hotel and Conference Center is offering stress-free Thanksgiving alternatives to the home cooked meal.

Allison Duke, marketing and social media manager for the hotel explained the event. 

“It’s a good option,” Duke said. “You can enjoy all of the things you would traditionally have without all of the stress and clean up.”

The hotel is offering three late-morning to mid-afternoon seatings for a Thanksgiving brunch. Held in the pre-function foyer and grand ballroom, this brunch buffet will allow guests to enjoy a array of classics with some more untraditional variety.

The buffet will include a carving station, green bean and ham hock casserole, roasted turkey and pecan pie alongside shrimp and grits, a seafood station and many other options.

Guests will pay $45 per person and $19 per child ages 12 and younger. Children under the age of 5 will be free. 

In addition to the brunch, the Hotel’s restaurant, Ariccia, will be open for dinner. Their standard menu will be available in addition to their special holiday menu. 

These meals have been popular for Hotel guests, Duke said. During the years when the Iron Bowl is played in Tuscaloosa, a more local crowd utilizes the Hotel’s Thanksgiving meal options.

This away-from-home option is great for students who may not be able to make the trip home for the holiday, or for families looking for a great meal without the stress of cooking.
