Engaged couples who are planning a wedding are invited to come out and spend the afternoon at the Opelika-Auburn News spring Bridal Expo Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Auburn Marriott Opelika Hotel and Conference Center at Grand National in Opelika.
Tickets will be $12 at the door. Only cash and checks will be accepted. All of the funds from the event will benefit the Newspapers in Education program.
The event will have vendors specializing in such wedding staples as fashion, jewelry, cakes and photography.
Shelia Haydel, advertising director at the Opelika-Auburn News, said the event will have its largest amount of vendors this year.
“This year we’re excited to bring even more vendors to our annual spring Bridal Expo,” Haydel said. “We want to invite all potential brides to come out and see what all the local businesses have to offer to help plan the wedding of your dreams.”
Haydel said the event will also have two “Style for the Aisle’ fashion shows and prizes that will be given away at the end of each show as well as the end of the day.
Mike Jones of Mike’s Mobile DJ Service will be the emcee at the event.
The presenting sponsor at the event will be Special Arrangements.
