Brides who are planning a wedding are invited to spend the afternoon with their families at the Opelika-Auburn News' 2016 Bridal Expo next Sunday, Jan. 17, from 1-4 p.m. at the Auburn Marriott Opelika Hotel and Conference Center at Grand National in Opelika.

Tickets will be $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Cash and check will be the only forms of payment accepted at the door.
All of the funds from the event will benefit the Newspapers in Education program.
The event will have vendors specializing in such things as fashion, jewelry, cakes and photography.
Shelia Haydel, advertising director at the Opelika-Auburn News, said there will be more vendors this year than in previous years.
“This is our largest expo to date,” Haydel said. “We invite everyone to come out and visit all of the vendor booths.”
The event also will have two “Style for the Aisle" fashion shows and prizes that will be given away at the end of each show and at the end of the day.
Mike Jones of Mike’s Mobile DJ Service will be the emcee at the event.
