Approximately 1,500 high school seniors across Lee County will turn their tassels to the left in the next two days, as all public school graduation ceremonies in the county will be held today and Friday.
Auburn High School will graduate more than 440 seniors today at 7 p.m. in Auburn Arena at Auburn University. The seniors practiced the ceremony’s order of events Saturday to be certain the event goes smoothly.
Lee-Scott Academy and Glenwood Academy will also graduate today at 7 p.m. Lee Scott’s graduation will be held in the school gymnasium and Glenwood’s graduation will be in the Phenix City Amphitheater.
At the same time, approximately 128 seniors from Beauregard High School will graduate at the school’s Richard L. Brown field today, while about 85 of seniors will do the same on the football field at Beulah High School.
On Friday, about 35 Loachapoka High School seniors will graduate at 7 p.m. on the athletic field. Approximately 415 Smiths Station High School seniors will also graduate at 7 p.m., in Panther Stadium. Smiths Station seniors practiced for the big event Wednesday.
Meanwhile, nearly 300 Opelika High School seniors will celebrate their graduation in the new-and-improved Bulldog Stadium at the school. Opelika seniors will practice their commencement ceremony today.
Ballard Christian School’s graduation will be held May 31 at 7 p.m. in the school gymnasium.
