Multiple people were arrested as a result of “Operation Red Dawn,” a culmination of controlled buys and physical surveillance in high-crime locations, according to a news release from the Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force.

The task force, along with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Alexander City Housing Authority, Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department, Alexander City Police Department and the Chambers County Sheriff’s Department Aviation Unit executed multiple search warrants Monday in the Dadeville and Alex City areas.

The combined effort resulted in the seizure of 116 grams of ecstasy, 61 grams of marijuana, 21 grams of crack cocaine and 28 grams of synthetic marijuana, according to the release.

“Earlier in the week, the task force seized approximately 2.5 gallons of GBL, which is a precursor chemical to the ‘date rape’ drug GHB,” it reads. “We’re seeing a rise in the club drug or exotic drug use in Tallapoosa County and we are asking the public to use caution.

“The Alabama Department of Forensic Science drug analysis reports that we use in court have found that these club drugs such as ecstasy or MDMA may contain any mixture of narcotics, from cocaine to methamphetamine and even ketamine, which is used to tranquilize horses,” the release stated.

Markee “Fred” Wilkerson, 32, of Dadeville, was arrested and charged with 12 counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, three counts of chemical endangerment of a child, trafficking in ecstasy, possession with intent to distribute, first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sharonte Johnson, 31, of Dadeville, was arrested and charged with three counts of chemical endangerment of a child, possession with intent to distribute, trafficking in ecstasy, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

William Burns Jr., 59, of Jackson Gap, was arrested and charged with certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm, first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Eric McCormick, 29, of Camp Hill, was arrested and charged with one count of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Susan McCormick, 55, of Camp Hill, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Miquial Johnson, 18, of Camp Hill, was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Darrell “Aguy” Allen, 42, of Dadeville, was arrested and charged with one count of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, five counts of chemical endangerment of a child and possession of controlled substance.

April Bryant, 43, of Jackson Gap, was arrested and charged with unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Larry Collins, 38, of Alexander City, was arrested and charged with four counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, trafficking in ecstasy, first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Stephanie Cone, 24, of Dadeville, was arrested and charged with trafficking in ecstasy, possession of controlled substance, first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Alaskan Johnson, 27, of Alexander City, was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kayla Coggins, 32, of Alexander City, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of marijuana, illegal possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jacari Hall, 25, of Alexander City, was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Naisha Hall Blakeley, 41, of Alexander City, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Martin Sweat, 33, of Alexander City, was arrested and charged with three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

Roderick Johnson, 35, of Alexander City, was arrested and charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

Francheska Sheeley, 30, of Alexander City, was arrested and charged with second-degree possession of marijuana and tampering with physical evidence.

“The investigation into the illegal trafficking, distribution and possession of narcotics is ongoing in Tallapoosa County,” according to the release.
