A Eufaula man is dead after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds in an apparent drive-by shooting Sunday in Phenix City.

Tre’yahi Allen, 22, was discovered deceased by police Sunday, suffering from gunshot wounds, Phenix City police said in a news release.

At about 8:50 p.m. Sunday, Phenix City police were called to 1001 Fourth Place South in reference to a person being shot.

When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Allen already deceased, said police.

“Witnesses stated that an SUV pulled up and stopped in the roadway,” the release reads. “A male exited the vehicle and began shooting, striking Allen. The suspect then fled the scene in the vehicle.”

Police say there is a suspect in this case; however, the name is being withheld pending further investigation.
