A Valley man charged with murder after a late-night bar fight over the weekend is out on bail after posting a $100,000 bond Saturday at the Lee County Detention Center.

Phillip Warren Wood, 50, of Valley was arrested and charged with murder in the stabbing death of Sidney Austin Harmon, 27.

Witnesses told investigators with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office that a fight occurred in the early morning hours Saturday at the Circle W Bar and Grill on Lee Road 379, Valley.

Sheriff’s deputies responded and found Harmon unresponsive with a possible stab wound.

Wood was arrested and charged with one count of murder.

He was freed on bond later Saturday.
