Known for his clean comedy, Henry Cho has appeared on NBC’s "Tonight Show," CBS’s " The Late, Late Show," on Comedy Central and in venues from coast to coast. But no matter where his comedy takes him, over the years Cho has continued to make an effort to perform in Opelika – including tonight at the Opelika Bottling Plant Center.
Cho was first brought to Opelika when filling show dates between performances in Atlanta and Panama City.
“Someone mentioned the event center in Opelika and I was like, ‘Where’s that?’ Someone said, ‘Opelika, Ala.,’…My wife is from Alabama so she knew exactly where it was,” Cho said. “We showed up the first time, we packed out the house and everybody was great. We’ve been coming back ever since.”
Rahn Hortman, a comedian touring with Cho, is one of the opening acts. Clayburn Cox, an Auburn High School Teacher, will also be opening for Cho’s show.
“He’s actually come a long way,” said Bottling Plant owner Lisa Ditchkoff of Cox. "The last time I heard him, I laughed my tail off.”
The venue is located at 614 North Railroad Ave. in Opelika. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.
General admission tickets are available for purchase for $25 at the door.
