Auburn and North Carolina will open their Super Regional series at 11 a.m. CT Saturday in Chapel Hill, N.C., after the NCAA announced its weekend schedule on Tuesday morning.
Super Regionals across the country will run from Friday to Monday. Auburn and North Carolina will start Saturday, with the best-of-three series scheduled to run over three days until Monday.
Saturday’s opener will be televised on ESPN2. Sunday’s middle game is set for a 10:30 a.m. CT start, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.
The third game, to be played if necessary, is set for a noon CT start time and an ESPN2 broadcast.
Auburn (36-25) challenges North Carolina (45-17) after the Tigers won the Atlanta Regional at Georgia Tech last weekend and the Tar Heels won their host Chapel Hill Regional.
Only 16 teams remain in the NCAA Tournament, crossing for eight best-of-three Super Regional series across the country to find the eight teams headed for the College World Series.
