Auburn’s football recruiting class for 2020 is now up to eight.
Three-star receiver Elijah Canion is the latest to make his pledge to the Tigers. He announced the decision on Twitter on Friday.
“First and foremost, all glory goes to God as without him, none of this would be possible. I would like to thank Chaminade-Madonna, my coaches and the Gold feet family for developing me into the student-athlete I am today. I appreciate all the college coaches who gave me an opportunity to compete at their university. Lastly, I would like to thank my family, especially my mother for the endless love and support they give me. With that being said, I am proud to announce my commitment to The Auburn University! #WarEagle,” Canion wrote on Twitter.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound receiver out of Hollywood, Fla., is ranked as the No. 73 receiver in the country by 247Sports Composite ranking.
He held 25 total offers, including from SEC schools Florida, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky and Ole Miss.
Canion is the third receiver to commit to the Tigers in the 2020 class as four-star prospects Kobe Hudson and J.J. Evans committed to Auburn in April and February, respectively.
