Former Auburn wide receiver D’haquille Williams is signing with the Buffalo Bills, per Canada’s TSN.
Williams was the CFL’s leading receiver last season, playing for the league’s Edmonton Eskimos. He caught 88 passes for 1,579 yards and 11 touchdowns during the 2018 season.
The franchise announced Friday that it was releasing Williams to allow him to pursue an NFL opportunity. TSN’s Farhan Lalji reported Sunday that Williams will be signing with the Bills.
Williams signed with Auburn in the spring of 2014 out of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He played through a tumultuous career on the Plains. He signed with the NFL’s Rams as an undrafted free agent before he was released and he headed to the CFL.
